Service Description

LCL Awards Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems This regulated qualification is for those wishing to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in the installation and maintenance of small-scale grid tied Photovoltaic systems. This qualification is based upon the National Occupational Standards as published by industry and is recognised by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme registration bodies as an acceptable qualification to join the scheme. This qualification has extensively updated to bring it in line with BS7671:2018+A2:2022 and current industry requirements. Pre-requisites: A Level 3 Electrotechnical N/SVQ qualification or equivalent plus A current Level 3 qualification in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018. plus A Level 3 qualification in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations, or Be a member of recognised competent persons scheme (CPS) as a Qualified Supervisor having met the requirements of the electrotechnical assessment specification (EAS). Assessment methods: Assessment is carried via practical observed assignment along with one on-line assessment consisting of multiple choice and multiple response questions. The assessments are open book and use the applicable standards and regulations.
